Internet Use Policy

Our internet use policy on our three computers for public use is as follows:

The internet is available to all our patrons, but we may restrict this service at any time for not staying within these guidelines.  Parents or guardians of minor children must assume responsibility for their children’s use of the library’s internet service.

Everyone must sign a log-in chart before beginning their session.

Each user is allowed one 60 minute session per day.  If no one is waiting, the time can be extended up to the discretion of the Library Director or Staff.

Use of the Library's Internet connection in an illegal, disruptive, or destructive manner may result in the loss of the Internet or library privleges.

Suspension will be one week of no Internet use, and a second suspension will result in two weeks of no Internet use, a third will result in no longer being able to use the Internet in the library.

The library cannot assure that data or files downloaded by users are virus-free. The use of the internet and email cannot be guaranteed to be private.

Users will respect the rights and privacy of others by not accessing private files. This also would be cause for internet usage to be canceled.

The Cambridge Memorial Library expressly disclaims any liability or responsibility arising from access to or use of information through its electronic information systems, or any consequences thereof.
