Library Director

Laurie Hazel began as the Interim Director in September, 2021. She became the Library Director in January, 2022.  After 34 years as an educator in the Waterloo area, she moved to central Iowa in 2019.  She has a Master of Arts degree in Professional Development from the University of Northern Iowa and a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Iowa. She is originally from Raymond, Iowa.  Laurie's passions include theater, traveling, concerts, and cheering on the Chicago Cubs. She enjoys spending time with friends and her family.
